Based in the heart of Chichester, West Sussex, we design and build beautiful, bespoke websites and business systems for new and existing clients in ecommerce, hospitality and beyond.
Having moved to employee ownership in early 2024, we're keen to recruit the talent we believe will be instrumental in the next phase of our journey.
What does the role involve?
A key role within our team, as Account Director, you will work with both new and existing clients to understand their needs and to help them to understand the value that D3R can bring to their businesses.
With your demonstrable experience of winning new business and deepening existing client relationships in a similar role, you'll prioritise and manage quality inbound leads, and targeted outbound activity to develop new business opportunities.
At the same time, you'll nurture existing client relationships with your highly consultative approach and your experience of e-commerce, identifying new opportunities to help clients grow and improve their businesses over time. Value-add services our team can provide will be varied, from design refreshes and new functionality to UX & CRO consultancy projects.
You can expect to:
- Nurture relationships with potential & existing clients
- Manage, qualify, & prioritise inbound leads & enquiries via email & phone
- Consult with potential clients on requirements & potential solutions, bringing other members of the team in as required.
- Review opportunities & requirements with colleagues in order to generate estimates
- Produce high-quality, tailored proposals & responses for potential clients
- Lead activity to close new business, drawing input from across the team as required
- Ensure a quality handover to the project delivery team
- Provide regular pipeline updates
- Consult with clients on their strategic business objectives & challenges
- Collaborate with clients & colleagues to develop roadmaps that align with business priorities
- Proactively communicate new market developments, trends & product offerings
- Assist with commercials & proposals for potential new projects for existing customers
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- 5 - 10 yrs in a similar client-facing role
- Experience of consultative selling/business development in an agency, consultancy or software business.
- Deep knowledge of e-commerce solutions, trends and challenges - may have been gained as a product manager working on an e-commerce site, with an e-comm software vendor or working within an e-commerce agency or consultancy for example.
- Experience of implementing/selling e-commerce or ERP platforms
- A proven track record of winning new projects & deepening existing client relationships
