UX Lead - London

Due to the continuing success of our business, we are looking to make a key appointment and bring in an experienced UX lead to further enhance our team. We're looking for someone with the confidence to influence and advise clients and team mates on all aspects of User Experience, drawing on their expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to do so. You'll be the recognised UX expert in our team surrounded by smart, highly-capable team mates in a friendly, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities:

Understand how best to meet the needs of our customers through UX research, competitor benchmarking, data and analytics.
Apply structured thinking to problems to create elegant user experiences which balance user needs, business goals and technical requirements.
Work closely with customers and colleagues to deliver optimal user experiences across the websites and applications we create.
Communicate ideas through user flows, wire-frames and prototypes to support cross-disciplinary team collaboration in developing a solution.
Collaborate closely with UI Designers to develop a Design Pattern Library and define a standardized Style Guide.
Create engaging, compelling and well-structured presentations of recommendations backed up by evidence.
Mentor less experienced team members and support their growth.

What would make a successful UX Lead at D3R?

You have worked in a client faced UX role on new build projects as well as providing audits and recommendations for existing sites for at least 4 years.
You are engaging and persuasive with excellent verbal and written communication skills that you enjoy using to explain concepts and rationale, helping you to influence and win people over.
You have a strong portfolio showcasing your experience of UX design across customer facing and administrative systems especially e-commerce websites.
You're a team player.
You have a real talent for creating simple solutions to complex problems.
You believe in gathering evidence/data to support the recommendations you make.

You also have relevant knowledge and experience in the following areas:

* User-centred design principles
* Information and visual design best practices
* Google analytics and other behavioral tools
* Understanding target audience personas, needs and motivations
* Experience with InVision and Sketch
